Isaiah 6:8 “Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
Community Outreach is vital to the corporate life of Mission Under Grace as well as to the personal lives of individual Christians. Mission Under Grace offers a variety of ministries designed to challenge, mature, encourage and deepen your faith in our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ.
At Mission Under Grace we are committed to making disciples (meaning- followers of Jesus Christ!). We equip and prepare through solid Biblical teaching as well as one on one mentoring. If you are seeking a church home where you can use your gifts and talents for God’s glory Mission Under Grace has a ministry for you.
Every Wednesday from 6:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M., followed by a meal from 7:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. held at the home of our Senior Pastor. This class also includes an element of outreach once a month.
The priority of this class is to equip and encourage Christians to go deeper into their relationship with Christ. As we go through this class, Christians are sure to leave better able to hear from God, understand His Will, and serve in His kingdom.
Every Thursday night between 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M, hosted at Pastor CJ’s home, we meet to learn the Bible through music. The setting is a bit casual, and always includes an element of food, fun activities, and a monthly outreach event.
The priority of the meeting is to learn the Biblical lessons that can be understood from the music we all know and love so much.
Church wide outreach
Once per month, on the second Saturday, we do a church wide outreach event. This event may vary from month to month.
The priority of this initiative is to take church to the streets. We believe that there are many spiritually seeking people who unfortunately do not trust the institution of the church. We believe in following the model of Jesus’s ministry by engaging with the community through service, and when we have earned the right to be heard, we share the gospel message.
Pastor CJ partners with the chaplain of University Heights Retirement Community. CJ will preach at the Sunday services once or twice a month, and also brings our church youth in once per month to spend time with the residents.
The priority of this initiative is to remember the disenfranchised. We are sadly aware that the elderly in our community are often forgotten about, while gone are the days where little old ladies are expected to be saved. We have found that this demographic is a ripe harvest field full of people considering their mortality, and are often lonely and looking for love.
Shut In Services
We have not forgotten about those members who used to come, but are no longer able due to heath restrictions. Our lay leader Wayne will go in every other week or so to each of our Shut In Members to visit and share a devotional.
The priority of this initiative is to show care and love to those who have been faithful to our congregation in attendance until their health restricted them from doing so any more. We believe that these people are not previous members, just because they can not attend due to health related reasons.
“Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.” Proverbs 11:25
There are numerous volunteer opportunities at our Church. Young adult and Children’s ministry, youth summer camp, the bus ministry, and assisting Refugee Outreach are all areas that would love your involvement. If you are interested in helping in any of these areas or elsewhere please speak with Pastor CJ Counts.
