We partner with Arapaho County Human Services through a non-profit organization we are affiliated to serve families in need. These families are typically either foster families, or recently reunited biological families. As you can imagine, in either case, the children in these families have been through a lot.
The Care Portal allows us access to understanding the needs of the most needy in these groups, and gives us an opportunity to meet those needs. Meeting a Care Portal request for a one time practical need gives us the opportunity to meet a family in our area and establish a relationship with them.
Many things could be requested, but commonly they are requests for things like furniture, clothes, diapers, baby supplies, and other common household items. Keep in mind that these are usually items a family would need if they are very suddenly being matched with a child or baby.
How you can help
By signing up on the email list below, you will be given notifications as often as we get them from Arapaho County Human Services. If you see a request for an item you think you or somebody you know can donate, then you can easily respond to that request through the Care Portal, or you can let us know, and we can respond for you.
Then we do whatever we can to bless the family with your donation.
If not, then just disregard the email. No big deal. Signing up does not commit you to anything.

During the COVID Crisis of 2020, many churches were cut off from the sort of community engagement they were used to. However Grace Of The Lord found itself able to serve just as much, and in some ways, even more! That was largely due to our Care Portal relationships.
Here is a video of Pastor CJ being interviewed by our denomination because of how our church role modeled serving during a time of community isolation.
