The phrase “church planting” means starting new churches. Our church is a “church plant”, which means we are a new church. We believe that churches should plant churches, which means that a healthy church should always be pregnant with a new church plant.
Churches are planted many ways, but we believe that a healthy model includes a mother church supporting and coaching its daughter churches. When a church can raise up leaders and send them out to plant a new church, the mother church can also send the new church pastor with some members who all know each other as well, guidance, and other resources to ensure success as much as possible.
We believe that one church can make a big difference when it is being intentional about engaging and serving the community by demonstrating Gods love with deeds. This is true no matter what the size of the church. Sure, a big church with large scale resources can do some things that a little old average church can not. But no matter the size, any given church will have a limited radius of influence. Therefore, we would rather see ten churches of 100 members scattered across the state then one church of 1000 members, because that church will have limited its influence to a smaller portion of a city.
We love big churches when God blesses them, so this statement says nothing about our feelings about large or small churches. This is just an illustration to make a point. We believe that we can expand the Kingdom of God and impact a larger area with services by means of church planting, and we are willing to send people out from our congregation regularly to accomplish this.
We are a new church plant, we have already launched a new church plant in Pakistan, and we are working on developing a church planter in our congregation who will plant another local church in the next 1-2 years. As we plant more churches, and our network of plants grow, you will be able to find updates on this page. So please stay tuned for more on our church planting progress!
